The England international has shone since bursting onto the scene in north London aged 17 in the Europa League. Saka scored 14 goals in all competitions for the Gunners last season and also registered 11 assists, playing a key role in Mikel Arteta’s side pushing for the Premier League title.
Manchester City and Real Madrid were both linked with Saka over the course of the campaign as a result, though Saka confirmed his commitment to Arsenal by penning a contract extension to the club that will see him remain with the club until 2027.
According to CIES Football Inventory, with all factors considered, Saka is the third-most valuable player in world football. The 21-year-old is reportedly worth £167.5m. That is partly thanks to the gigantic deal he has signed at the Emirates.
Only Man City star Erling Haaland, valued at £209.6m, and Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior, £167.9m, are worth more. However, there are several top players further down the list that are set to be on the move for mammoth fees.
Soon-to-be Real Madrid midfielder Bellingham, who has agreed to head to the Bernabeu in a deal worth at least £88.5m before add-ons, is valued by CIES at £162.7m. Mbappe, who could also be on the move this summer, is valued at approximately £139.6m, though his value could soar depending on whether he finally leaves PSG over the coming months.
The France international has been heavily linked with an exit from the Ligue 1 outfit over the past few years but opted to put pen to paper on a new deal last summer that made him one of the highest-paid sportsmen ever.
The club reported that it would mean the versatile forward would remain at the club until 2025, though it is now emerged that the initial deal lasts until 2024 and Mbappe can activate a clause for it to be extended by a further year.
The ex-Monaco star has no intention of doing so, meaning that he will become a free agent at the end of next season if he is not sold imminently. That means his value is significantly lower than would be expected per CIES.
Mbappe has attempted to assure supporters that he will be a PSG player for the upcoming campaign, though his club are of a different view and will sell the 24-year-old if he does not sign a new deal at the Parc des Princes.
