Assassins Creed Jade: Playtest Footage with Locations, Combat, Ezio’s Family Theme Song and Alleged iOS Beta Leaked

Ubisoft is working on several Assassin’s Creed titles at the moment. This list of upcoming titles includes Mirage, the next flagship title for consoles and PCs. Talking about smartphones, the game developer is working on a flagship mobile gaming title, Assassins Creed Codename: Jade. As per the initial announcement, Jade will be set in ancient China with no set launch date. Months after the first announcement, the game just became a victim to massive leaks online.

Assassins Creed: Jade Playtest footage leaks

The first leak comprised of the actual gameplay we can expect from the title. Though it looks a little rough around the edges as it is still in development. The video went viral through a post on the r/assassinscreed subreddit. The user, u/dattuu found the video on Facebook and shared it on the subreddit.

From the video players can see that the footage was screen-recorded from an iOS device. It starts off with a level 40 character who is rushing on what seems like the Great Wall of China to complete a quest. As the character makes his way through obstacles and enemies on the wall, he is working to complete the mission to ‘Protect Yongning Village.

We can also see a mini map on the top right corner, which says, ‘Beyond the Great Wall’. Players can use the on-screen buttons to control the character and use the jump/parkour button when required. The player performs some flashy parkour moves and highlights the in-game environment while heading towards the destination.

Then we come to the combat part, the game introduces two additional buttons. One for attacking and the other for dodging the in-coming attacks. The player used dual swords and performed a finishing move when the enemy health depleted completely.

The leaked gameplay video also showcased a cutscene where we get to see a conversation between Juzi (the player) and Wei Yu. There is no voice acting yet and players can only read the conversation through the subtitles. That’s all we got to see but from the current state of the game, it will likely stand apart from the current mobile gaming titles. Though, we do need to test the game out when it launches to see how the final product fares.

Assassins Creed: Jade locations, weapons, special moves and more

Just hours later, another gameplay video for Assassin’s Creed Jade leaked online. This leak dives deeper into combat. It showcases all the distinct types of weapons and special moves players will be able to wield in the upcoming mobile game.

Moreover, players get to see a showcase of the type parkour and stealth moves they will be able to perform in the game. Lastly, new locations such as Fushi City, Redwoods, Didao Ridge, Great Wall, Gaonu, State Market, and Yangzhou Palace/ City have been revealed.

Then the third and final leak, again thanks to GamingDiary, revealed the theme song for Assassins Creed: Jade. It seems like the video has been uploaded by a Beta tester and it has been titled Ezio’s Family. The video only consists of music that you can check out below:

There is more though, players can also beta test Assassins Creed Jade on iOS Devices. As shared on Facebook (via InGameLoop) players can download the TestFlight app from the AppStore, fill a form for Goto Official Alpha Test Form and they will receive a link to play the game. Some redditors outlined that the TestFlight app codes have expired after the leak.
