Assassin’s Creed Mirage Is 3X Shorter Than Valhalla Apparently

It seems like Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be around three times shorter than Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The most recent entries in the franchise have gotten increasingly long and the upcoming one has been pitched as a more focused experience.

In an interview with French video game YouTuber Julien Chieze (translated by PCGamesN), Ubisoft lead producer Fabian Salomon said, “Given that we do a lot of playtesting internally at Ubisoft, it’s part of our process, we really want to get as close as possible to the players, so we’ll say that the latest playtimes we’ve received average at around 20-23 hours.”

Salomon continued, “That can go up to 25-30 hours for the completionists, and we’ll say that those who will be rushing the game will be around 20 hours.” In 2020, GameSpot noted that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla took about 60 hours to complete the main story. After 65 hours, around 85% of the entire game was finished, which included side quests.

This was all before the game’s three expansions were added: The Legend of Beowulf, Wrath of the Druids, and the Siege of Paris. A completionist’s playthrough takes roughly around 143 to complete. A big RPG might be daunting to some, so Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s smaller scope could be better for certain players. Ubisoft has also mentioned that there are no DLC plans for the game at the moment.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage launches on October 12, 2023, for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
