Asus reveals RTX 4090-powered Asus XG Mobile (2023) graphics dock with ROG Ally, and demonstrates Raikiri Pro Controllers

Shortly after revealing the first ever ROG handheld, Asus confirmed yesterday that it is indeed real, and not an April Fools joke. Asus ROG has now also revealed a couple of accessories alongside the ROG Ally. This includes their latest external graphics dock, and a demonstration of the controller. Here’s everything you need to know about the latest from Asus ROG.

Asus XG GC33Y Mobile (2023)

This is the latest in the line-up of the ROG XG Mobile, first launched back in 2021 for the ROG Flow laptop series. The flagship of this particular model however is the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090, and the PCIe 3.0 X 8 connector. The Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 needs no introduction after its reveal last year, as the beast of a GPU. The latest in the series, it features in its mobile unit in the Asus XG GC33Y Mobile. A PCIe 3.0 x8 connection on the other hand, brings to the table a bandwidth of 63 GB/s on paper.

Asus has priced the Asus XG Mobile (2023) at $1,999.99 dollars which roughly corresponds to Rs 1.6 lakhs here in India.

ROG Raikiri Pro and other accessories

We got a demonstration of the Asus XG GC33Y Mobile from Linus Tech Tips, along with gaming in 4K on the ROG Ally. Linus Tech Tips connected the ROG Ally to a monitor, along with the latest XG Mobile and played games like Horizon Forbidden West using the Raikiri Pro Controller. The Raikiri Pro was revealed by Asus ROG earlier at the CES 2023 this year. It is compatible with Xbox Series X/S and PC, and features a 1.3-inch OLED display. Additionally, the ROG 100 W USB- C Adapter has also been revealed to be compatible as a portable charger with the ROG Ally.
