Asus ROG Ally: The Highly Anticipated Handheld Gaming Device Finally Landed on the Global Market
Valve’s Steam Deck is not the only big player in the handheld gaming scene any more, as Asus has come up its answer to portable gaming. Asus has launched the ROG Ally through a livestream event, where we got to learn about the device’s specifications, capabilities, pricing, and release window details.

ROG Ally specifications
The Asus ROG Ally comes stacked with some powerful tech. In terms of processing power, AMD powers the handheld device with its Ryzen Z1 and Z1 Extreme series processors. For the display, the ROG Ally sports a FHD display that has a refresh rate of 120Hz and 7ms response time. The display can reach a peak brightness of 500 nits.
Also, the device is a Windows 11 Gaming handheld, which means that players will receive full compatibility with Xbox Game Pass, Steam, EA, and Epic Games Store. For graphics, the ROG Ally features AMD’s RDNA 3 Architecture.
In terms of memory, the Ally has up to 16GB LPDDR5 dual channel RAM and up to 512GB PCle Gen 4 storage. Moreover, it also has a built-in UHS II Micro SD slot for expansion. ROG Ally price and release date
The ASUS ROG Ally handheld gaming device is scheduled to be released on June 13 and will be available across most online and offline retailers. Pre-orders for the device are live now, buyers can avail three months of free Xbox Game Pass when the portable gaming device arrives.
Asus is offering two variants for the ROG Ally, the one with the Z1 series processors will cost players $599, which converts to INR 49,189 and the one with Z1 Extreme series processors will cost them $699, which converts to INR 57,401 at the time of writing. However, these prices could change to INR 59,999 and INR 69,999 or INR 64,999 and INR 74,999 due to taxes and import duties.
