Avatar: The Way of Water Trailer Shows More of Jake and Neytiri’s Family, Giant Sea Creatures, and a Baby Na’vi

Avatar: The Way of Water’s newest trailer not only gives us a much better look at Jake and Neytiri’s family and the struggles they face, but it is also filled with giant and impressive sea creatures and a baby Na’vi.

Avatar: The Way of the Water will be released in theaters on December 16, 2022, and it is set more than a decade after the events of the original film from 2009. According to the official description, this new film “begins to tell the story of the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri, and their kids), the trouble that follows them, the lengths they go to keep each other safe, the battles they fight to stay alive, and the tragedies they endure.”

The trailer also gives us a brief tease as to why the film’s title is what it is, as “the way of water connects all things, before your birth, and after your death.”

Alongside the new trailer, a new poster has been revealed that shows Jake, Neytiri, and their children, and you can check it out below.

Avatar: The Way of Water is directed by James Cameron, is produced by James Cameron and Jon Landau, and stars Zoe Saldaña, Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Edie Falco, Jemaine Clement, and Kate Winslet.
