Baldur’s Gate 3 customers can pre-load the PS5 version ahead of launch. Set in the world of Dungeons and Dragons, Baldur’s Gate 3 is an epic role-playing game with enormous versatility. Already available on PC, Baldur’s Gate 3 makes its PS5 debut on September 6. However, if you’ve pre-ordered the Digital Deluxe Edition, you can start playing via early access on September 2. To ensure you’re ready for the game’s launch, Digital Deluxe customers can pre-load Baldur’s Gate 3 from 5pm BST UK time on August 31. The game will be unlocked and ready to play at the same time on Saturday, September 2.
If you’ve pre-ordered the Standard Edition on the PlayStation 5, you can pre-load the game at 5pm BST on September 4.
With the game weighing in at around 122GB on the PC, pre-loading is certainly recommended.
While the exact PS5 file size is yet to be revealed, developer Larian has confirmed that it will weigh in at more than 100GB on the PlayStation 5.
Depending on your internet speeds, the gargantuan file size means Baldur’s Gate 3 could take a long time to fully download and install.
Described as the “ultimate D&D experience”, Baldur’s Gate 3 can be played in single or multiplayer.
“Abducted, infected, lost. You are turning into a monster, but as the corruption inside you grows, so does your power.
“Forge a tale of fellowship and betrayal, sacrifice and survival, and the lure of absolute power.

Interest in the PS5 version of Baldur’s Gate 3 has grown since the game made its PC debut in early August.
In the weeks since launch, Baldur’s Gate 3 has racked up a hugely impressive 96% average score on Metacritic.
It’s currently tied with Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom as game of the year.
