Barbie Movie Posters Reveal More Barbies, Kens, and Separately, Humans

Warner Bros. has released a new batch of posters for Greta Gerwig’s Barbie movie, unboxing all of the different Barbies and Kens that will appear in the film alongside the humans.

The posters position each cast member in front of a glittery, colorful backdrop in the shape of the Mattel logo, along with a brief description of their character. Some are playing different variations of Barbie, while others are starring as (not-so-different) Ken dolls.

Those joining Margot Robbie as Barbie are Hari Nef, Emma Mackey, Dua Lipa, Ana Cruz Kanye, Sharon Rooney, Issa Rae, Kate McKinnon, Nicola Coughlan, Alexandra Shipp, Ritu Arya, and Emerald Fennell as Midge — the “pregnant” version of the doll that first hit shelves in 1963.

Ryan Gosling’s Ken features in the line-up with a group of fellow Ken dolls played by Simu Liu, Ncuti Gatwa, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Scott Evans, and Michael Cera as the one and only Allan, dressed in a colorful striped shirt just like his plastic counterpart released in 1964 as Ken’s friend.

The posters also introduce five human characters outside the dollhouse, with America Ferrera, Ariana Greenblatt, Will Ferrell, Connor Swindells, and Jamie Demetriou joining the cast. Helen Mirren appears on a separate one-sheet, announcing her as the movie’s narrator.

Barbie opens in theaters on July 21, so it will be a plastic, fantastic summer. You can also make it a double feature with Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer releasing on the same day.
