Black Friday 2021 warning: Grab these offers now or face huge disappointment

Black Friday 2021 is officially just a few days away, with the annual post-Thanksgiving sale taking place this year on Friday, November 26. However, in the run-up to the official start date for Black Friday, plenty of major retailers such as Amazon, Argos and Currys have all launched tonnes of money-saving deals early. And if you’ve seen a deal you like it’s best you act quick, as retailers are warning of impending stock shortages for top tech during the Black Friday season.

As reported by the BBC, the IMRG – the UK’s online retail association – are warning supply chain issues could lead to there being insufficient stock to meet Black Friday demand.

Andy Mulcahy, the IMRG insights director, said: “The real pinch points are Asia. Those with deeper pockets can find ways to work around it to ensure they have the stock in, but some will be in a much more difficult position”.

This year delays at UK ports as well as HGV driver shortages have all impacted the country’s supply chain.

But that’s not the only factor, with disruption caused by the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, along with shortages of crucial components such as chips also impacting the availability of products.

There have already been warnings that supply chain issues, which are affecting consumers and business globally, could lead to build-ups at ports in the US and UK along with Christmas shortages.

So if you’ve seen a Black Friday deal that you’re interested in – whether that’s merely to treat yourself or to get in a bargain early ahead of the festive season – it’s best you don’t wait too much longer.
