Zomato-owned Blinkit has announced to deliver printouts at your doorsteps in 11 minutes. Jitesh Goel, Product head at Blinkit shared the details of the service in a post on LinkedIn. “We at Blinkit are giving printouts in minutes in a few areas now. Have never had a printer at home and getting it from a cyber cafe or library or neighbours or offices has always been cumbersome especially when it’s needed at the point of approaching deadlines. This should be really useful especially at the rates it is available at. You just have to upload the file and we will deliver it to you in minutes. There’s absolutely no manual intervention in printing and we delete the uploaded file as soon as it is printed,” said Goel in the post. The service is currently in the testing phase.
How to order
Users will need to upload the printouts that they want on the Blinkit app. Currently, the app is supporting only A4 size printouts. File formats supported include all popular formats — JPEG, JPG, PNG and PDF files. Maximum upload size allowed currently is 10MB.
Price of printouts
will charge an amount of ₹9 per page for black and white printouts, while ₹19 for colored. Customers do not require to have bulk copies to get printouts as it has set no minimum order requirement for availing this new service yet.
Time of the delivery
The printout services on Blinkit are available from 6 am to 12 midnight.
What about security of your print out
Goel also shared a picture of how the printouts will be delivered. “Anyone having security concerns regarding the delivery person misusing your print or taking a copy, we deliver the print in a sealed envelope,” wrote Goel. He followed it up with a picture of a sealed envelope in which the printouts will be delivered.
Availability of Blinkit printouts
The service is currently available in the testing phase. It is currently available in certain areas in the National Capital Region (NCR) region.
