Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 PS5 physical disc reportedly has only 70MB of data | 91mobiles.com

Based on the screenshots shared by Destruction Games, the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 PS5 disc has 72.23MB of data and you have to be signed into PlayStation Network to download rest of the files. Players generally purchase physical discs to avoid downloading additional files and storing them on their console. However, the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 physical disc beats the purpose of getting a disc entirely. Besides these, Call of Duty are notorious for their huge download size and file size. According to a report from PushSquare, Modern Warfare 2 takes up 151.5GB of storage on PS5 SSDs after downloading and installing the day one patch. Both disc and digital version owners will need to download and store such a huge game on their console, making the disc version pretty much pointless.

It’s unclear whether the PC and Xbox discs of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 share the same size as the PS5 one. Considering how much Activision favours Call of Duty on PlayStation, the file size will most likely be similar on Xbox and PC discs. Besides these, the file size of Modern Warfare 2 is only going to increase with updates and new post-launch content such as game modes, cosmetics, Operators, maps, and more.
