Developed by Infinity Ward, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is set to release on several platforms, including computer, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. Ahead of the official release, the developer has shared the game’s minimum system requirements for PC players. Additionally, the game will be available to preload from today itself. Here is everything you need to know about the release date, preload time, early access and PC requirements of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

When will Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 launch in India?

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is coming out on October 28, 2022, at 10:30 PM IST. Those who have pre-ordered the game can preload it at 10:30 PM IST on October 20, 2022, i.e., today and start playing it. Those who haven’t purchased the game yet can preload the game on October 26, 2022, at 10:30 PM IST. 

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 system requirements

As mentioned on the official website, the minimum system requirements are as follows. 

Windows 10 64 bit

Intel Core i3-6100/Core i5-2500K or AMD Ryzen 3 1200

8GB of RAM, 72GB of storage (at launch)

Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 or AMD Radeon RX 470 (at least 2GB video memory)

While the game will run on systems that fulfil the minimum requirements, here are the recommended requirements of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

Intel Core i5-6600K/Core i7-4770 or AMD Ryzen 5 1400

12GB of RAM, 72GB of storage (at launch)

Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon RX 580 (at least 4GB video memory)

While these remain the minimum and recommended system requirements for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, the game can also run at 4K resolution at a high frame rate. Users must pair it with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 or AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT with a minimum of 10GB video memory. Another thing to note here is that the minimum system requirements are valid for the game at the launch and might be updated by the developer in the future.
