Call of Duty Vanguard: Call of Duty Vanguard’s teaser clip appears online – Times of India

Amidst rumours of an August 19 unveiling, a short teaser of Call of Duty: Vanguard has appeared online on Twitter. With the launch date still unconfirmed, it seems like Activision would have a ‘surprise’ announcement on August 19 or more leaks and information about the game would keep pouring in.
The teaser was recently shared by Twitter user MrDaleJD, which he claims came from the Call of Duty team itself. It is a 5-seconds long clip that shows a German sign that reads “attention”, a task force badge similar to the special task force emblem seen in Call of Duty: WW2, a World War 2 helmet, a grenade and a gun (most probably the Sten SMG). All of them in the middle of sounds of guns firing in an incredibly dense forest interspersed with trenches, barbed wire and collapsed trees, something you may expect to see in a World War 2- based first-person shooter set on the Western Front.

We also get a glimpse of a memorial of sorts for the fallen Sergeant Kingsley, who could be the World War 2 hero David R Kingsley, posthumously awarded with the Medal of Honor for saving the life of the wounded gunner of his aircraft by giving him his own parachute.
The teaser could be the first among others to arrive before the announcement and the gameplay trailers come. However, there is nothing on the official channels regarding Vanguard yet. Are we looking at D-Day and Airbornes? The inclusion of Sergeant Kingsley hints at some part of the action taking place in Ploieşti, Romania, where his plane was badly damaged and several aboard wounded by enemy fighters.
