Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 Welcomes Players to DMZ Beta; Modern Warfare 2 may launch Customizable Kill Cams and More

Everybody’s favorite Battle Royale title is back with a bang, as Call of Duty has just kickstarted the launch week for Warzone 2.0, with players getting their very first look at DMZ and all the other features the developers have added to enhance the experience

DMZ

DMZ has been described as a dangerous, diverse and deep open world experience. Fortunately, players will be able to choose the level of intensity for the open world. DMZ is built for hardcore completionists and will include activities such as Faction Missions, Contracts, World Events, stocking up the Stash, helping out other squads (or causing chaos), breaking open locked areas, and much more.

Stash

One of the main aspects of DMZ is handling your inventory, which includes weapons and other valuable items from the Exclusion Zone. Players start off with free Contraband weapons and they can expand their weapons by looting other players/enemies or the field.

Weapon customization remains, whether it is just a modification or completely new weapon blueprint. At the beginning, players will start off with one insured weapon slot, for any personal loadout weapons or weapon blueprint. Soon enough, they will be able to add an additional insured weapon slot by levelling up with Factions.

Infiltration, Loadout and Missions

DMZ is primarily a trio-based mode, but players can join in as solo or duos by disabling the squad fill option. Players who wish to learn how to play and get those first rewards in, should start off with the Faction Missions. The available factions include the Legion, White Lotus, and Black Mous. Legion will be the starting faction and the other two will be unlocked by completing missions.

After a certain amount of Faction Missions have been completed, players’ Faction Mission Tiers will advance too. Players will be able to infiltrate the Exclusion Zone either with insured weapons or contraband weapons, or even nothing but their fists. The point of infiltration will be randomised every time, to ensure no two DMZ matches to be the same.

Items will be necessary to ensure the player’s victory. So if they wish to get more items, players will have to extract them from the Exclusion Zone through their backpack. This is will provide players with experience for ‘supply runs’ where they just enter to get those items and gear up for future deployment. In addition to the backpack, players will also be able to exfil on-soldier items such as backpacks, self-revives, armor plate carriers, etc..

The Exclusion Zone

Players aren’t restricted to missions in the Exclusion Zone, and they have free will to explore as they wish too. There are also optional assignments they can go for such as Contracts, Hostage Rescue, High Value Targets and World Events.

Players might find some limitations to the areas they can explore in the Exclusion Zone. These special places such as Strongholds are guarded by AQ Forces. Players would need to procure keys in order to gain access to these areas.

Another intriguing detail is that players do not have to worry about collapsing circles. But there are dangers in other forms, so they should monitor radiations as well as the occasional sandstorm.

Players can also work towards rewards such as Double XP Tokens, Calling Cards, Weapon Charms, and other cosmetics. The Ultimate rewards is the M13B Assault Rifle; “This functional weapon is part of the Bruen Ops Platform along with the new BAS-P SMG, can be yours to use across all Modern Warfare II or Warzone 2.0 modes”.

Exfiltration

Call of Duty has stated that there is no definite objective or path to victory here in DMZ, winning is determined by the players’ choices and the consequences that follow. However, exfilling from the Exclusion Zone will be their main objective for each match. Players will get a complete look at Al Marzah when the game releases on November 16, 2022.

Modern Warfare II Customisable Kill Cams

On the topic of Call of Duty, insider RalphsValve has just shared some exciting information for Modern Warfare II. According to a recent tweet, Modern Warfare II will receive customisable kill cams. In it, players will have an option to choose between Play of the Game or a Final Kill. They will also be able to edit in Graphics, Messages, Audio, GIFS, and Templates. Later on, he also posted a patent for the new Kill Cam concept. As of now, this hasn’t been announced officially, but we really hope it makes its way to the game.
