Call of Duty’s General Shepherd Reads Mean Tweets

General Shepherd is one of the Call of Duty series’ most notorious villains, and people aren’t shy about expressing their opinions about him on social media. However, they probably didn’t expect voice actor Glenn Morshower, who portrays the character in the rebooted Modern Warfare games, to respond to their mean tweets.

In the above clip, posted by the UK account for Call of Duty, Shepherd reads out and responds to some mean tweets, including one that calls him “sus AF.” Another Twitter user celebrates one of their favorite moments from Modern Warfare 2, including one where Captain Price “Modern Warfared on General Shepherd.” Very nice.

As with many characters from the Modern Warfare series, there are actually two versions of General Shepherd, one from the original canon and one from the reboot. The original Shepherd is much more overtly villainous than his reboot incarnation, going so far as to personally murder the player’s friends in one of the game’s biggest twists. While the reboot Shepherd also betrays the player, he’s more of a backroom figure.

In other Call of Duty news, recent datamining suggests that Activision may delay Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2’s Season 2 beyond the expected date of February 1. That update is expected to bring new weapons to the game, as well as a new Resurgence map.
