Carabao Cup draw in full as Man Utd host Newcastle while Arsenal face West Ham
Manchester United have been handed a repeat of last year’s Carabao Cup final in the fourth round of this season’s edition, as they will host Newcastle after Eddie Howe’s side knocked out Manchester City on Wednesday evening. The Magpies will be full of belief after their win as they look to get revenge for their defeat at Wembley in February.
Liverpool and Arsenal have also been handed tricky ties, however, as they face trips to fellow Premier League sides Bournemouth and West Ham respectively.
Chelsea will perhaps feel that they have been rewarded for getting one over on their new nemesis Brighton, as they will host Championship side Blackburn in the fourth round after they claimed a 5-2 win over Cardiff.
There is one more tie contested between two teams from the top division, as Everton will host Burnley in what will surely be dubbed the ‘Sean Dyche derby’, after the Toffees won back-to-back games by following up their win at Brentford with victory away to Aston Villa.
High-flying Ipswich will back themselves against Fulham, while Middlesbrough will travel to Exeter and the lowest ranked team left in the competition – Mansfield – will surely get Field Mill rocking for the visit of Port Vale.
