Carl Pei: Why Carl Pei is threatening this smartphone brand – Times of India

Nothing launched its flagship smartphone Nothing (2) in India earlier this week. The smartphone is known for its glyph design interface. Now it seems that another smartphone maker is set to imitate the famous design of Nothing Phone (2).
Smartphone maker Infinix has teased its upcoming smartphone which is said to sport a design like Nothing Phone (2). Infinix has shared a teaser of its upcoming GT series of smartphones.
The company’s shared image reveals two diagrams of the Nothing Phone, showcasing the unique Glyph Interface. The first diagram features the letter N at the center, surrounded by a section of the Glyph Interface, displayed in the company’s dot matrix font. The second diagram showcases a handset with two rear cameras positioned at the top-left corner, along with what seems to be the Glyph Interface design on the rear panel.
The smartphone maker has mentioned that the upcoming Infinix smartphone features a similar kind of design like the Nothing Phone. It also mentioned that the smartphone is designed for gamers. However, it appears that Carl Pie has not liked this and has threatened the company of taking legal action.
Upon spotting a screenshot of the post shared on Twitter by tipster Mukul Sharma, Nothing CEO Carl Pei expressed his lack of satisfaction. In response to Sharma’s tweet, Pei humorously commented, “Looks like it’s time to prepare the lawyers!” accompanied by a laughing emoji.
Nothing Phone (2) launched
