Japanese anime sensation Dragon Ball Super will soon be broadcasted in three Indian regional languages from May 22.
The Toei Animation-developed series will broadcasted in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu on Cartoon Network, as part of the channel’s Redraw Your World branding, with the channel aiming to provide a viewing experience to both kids and families with over 200 hours of diverse content throughout the year.
Dragon Ball Super will begin its stint on Cartoon Network at 9 AM on May 22 with a day-long “Dragon Ball Super Sunday” stunt featuring back-to-back episodes of the show. From then on, it will air on weekdays at 10:30 AM and 7:30 PM and weekends at 5:30 PM.
The anime follows the events after the Majin Buu Saga, with Goku and his friends and family now maintaining peace at Earth before the arrival of Beerus aka the God of Destruction, who is in search of a Super Saiyan God.
During the 131 episode run of the series, Goku and crew will meet new and returning threats in the form of Frieza, Broly and more. In order to defeat them, the Saiyan squad will challenge themselves even more, as they continue to gain more powerful with new transformations.
With the inclusion of regional languages, Cartoon Network continues to bolster its lineup of cartoons and anime, especially from the Dragon Ball franchise, and according to the Abhishek Dutta, who is the South Asia Network Head of Cartoon Network and POGO, the show will be a huge addition to its content library.
With the adventures set to begin from May 22, fans shouldn’t miss out on a single episode of Dragon Ball Super, which will be filled with power-packed voice acting performances in all three regional languages.
