Eun Woo is known for not only his performances as member of K-pop group Astro, but also for appearing in various dramas. In Wonderful World, he will play the role of Kwon Seon Yul, a medical student “with a mysterious secret.” He grew up in a wealthy household, but due to a series of events, loses his parents and is forced to live a rough life.
Wonderful World will be a heart-breaking story of a woman who tragically loses her son, only to witness the perpetrator responsible for the crime being set free by the legal system. She takes matters into her hands and goes on a path of revenge as she is left with no support or justice.
Kim Nam Joo will also star in Wonderful World
Joining Cha Eun Woo in Wonderful World is veteran actress Kim Nam Joo, who will play the character of Eun Soo Hyun. Hyun is a prominent psychological professor who has been struggling to cope with the loss of her only son. Consumed by grief and unable to forget how the law failed her, she takes it upon herself to seek justice and begins gathering evidence to bring the perpetrator to account.
Despite their differing motivations, Kwon Seon Yul and Eun Soo Hyun will find themselves entwined in each other’s lives. United by their shared grievances and losses, they decide to work together, finding solace and support in one another’s struggles. The drama’s cast also includes Kim Kang Woo and Im Se Mi.
Wonderful World’s script is penned by screenwriter Kim Ji Eun, who is known for working on Lie After Lie and Enemies from the Past. The drama is directed by Lee Seung Young, who is known for his notable projects like Tracer, Voice 2, and The Missing.
Wonderful World is set to come out in the first half of 2024.
