Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel doesn’t hold back on Romelu Lukaku criticism in Man City defeat
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has ripped into Romelu Lukaku’s performance against Manchester City on Sunday. Man City defeated Tuchel’s side 1-0 at the Etihad Stadium to move 13 points clear at the Premier League summit.
Lukaku led the Chelsea line for the whole 90 minutes but looked out of sorts in a title-hope-crushing loss.
And Tuchel was left reeling by his contribution and made a point of explaining he was as poor as the rest of the visitors’ players.
He told BT Sport: “Sometimes he has to do the service. He had many ball losses and a huge chance.
“Of course, we want to serve him but he’s part of the team. The performance up front in the first half, we can do much, much better.”
