Chris Hemsworth Reveals the Project He’s Most Proud of

Chris Hemsworth has become a household name following his run as Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The actor appeared as the Norse God of Thunder in four movies centered around his character, alongside multiple Avengers films. Despite playing one of the most iconic superheroes in the world, the Australian actor recently shared that he’s most proud of working with director George Miller in Mad Max: Furiosa.

the actor recently talked about working with Miller on the Mad Max prequel in an interview with Josh Horowitz. The film follows the origin story of Charlize Theron’s character Furiosa from the original Mad Max series. Furiosa is being played by Anya Taylor-Joy in the film, which releases on May 24, 2024.

“I came into that film exhausted. I thought, ‘How am I going to get through this?'” he said. “Week one of rehearsals with [Miller], all of a sudden it was this reigniting of my creative energy.”

Hemsworth will be having a villainous turn in the upcoming film, as he plays the evil biker warlord, Dementus. He further stated that working with Miller on Furiosa was the “best experience” of his career so far. ” It made me think, the work isn’t what’s exhausting, it’s what kind of work it is, and how invested I am in it and if it is challenging in the right ways.” he further noted.

While Hemsworth is mostly known for playing a hero in films like the Thor and Extraction series, the Aussie actor has played evil villains in projects like Bad Times at the El Royale.
