CoD: Modern Warfare 2 And Warzone 2 Season 3 Battle Pass Is Packed With Operator Skins
Season 3 of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 launches on April 12, and Call of Duty’s new battle pass blog showcases the weapons and cosmetics players can expect. The Season 3 pass includes two new operators, two weapons, cosmetic weapon blueprints, and more. It’s also packed with additional skins of fan-favorite operators.
As with previous seasons of Modern Warfare 2, the battle pass is designed with a combat map-style layout, which is divided into different sectors, ranging from C0 to C20. There are over 100 rewards across the free and premium tiers of the pass.
Players who purchase the battle pass will immediately unlock operator skins for both Valeria Garza and Alejandro Vargas, who were featured in the Modern Warfare 2 campaign.
Two weapons will be unlocked in free sectors of the pass. Sector C4 will unlock the Intervention sniper rifle, which is rebranded for Modern Warfare 2 as the FJX Imperium sniper. This is a high-damage, bolt-action sniper made popular in the original Modern Warfare 2 from 2009. Additionally, the Cronen Squall battle rifle is unlocked in Sector C11. Activision describes this new weapon as a bullpup, semi-automatic rifle designed for distance.
Other highlights include premium level operator skins for Farah and Ghost. Farah’s Road Rage skin is unlocked at Sector C10, and Ghost’s Nightwar skin is unlocked at Sector C20.
Just like previous passes, completing all sectors of the Season 3 battle pass will unlock an additional “victory sector” with a bundle of rewards. This is a set of five items that includes CoD Points, two weapon blueprints, and an additional skin for both Valeria and Alejandro.
The Season 3 pass also includes a new streamlined automatic pathing feature designed to allow those who don’t mind what they earn first to automatically have the battle pass chart a path through the different sectors. Of course, players can also choose to manually choose their path just like prior seasons.
For those looking for an even bigger bundle, Season 3 has a premium battle pass bundle offer called BlackCell. While the standard pass will still be available at $1,100 CoD Points ($10), BlackCell is an optional $30 bundle with over 7,000 CoD Points’ worth of value. The BlackCell bundle includes the standard battle pass, as well as 1,100 CoD Points, more battle pass sectors to unlock, a new operator, and more. The full details of the BlackCell bundle can be found here.
The blog also details a few bundles coming to the shop in Season 3, which includes a classic 2009 Modern Warfare 2 skin for Ghost. This bundle comes with the “Loose Ends” and “Just Like Old Times” weapon blueprints and additional cosmetics.
While a little late from the holiday, there is an Easter-themed bundle that will let you play Call of Duty as an Easter bunny. The Hopping Mad bundle comes with the Mr. Hops and Mr. Hips bunny operator skins and several additional holiday-themed items.
