CoD: Warzone 2 Ashika Island Easter Eggs You Should Try
Season 2 of Call of Duty: Warzone 2 added the brand-new Ashika Island Resurgence map, and the small island is plentiful with Easter eggs. Here we walk you through a few newly discovered Easter eggs, each of which will be worth trying early in your match to score some high-tier rewards.
Power Plant Easter egg
Ashika Island’s Power Plant location was already a great place to loot, but now there’s a small Easter egg step to complete here for extra rewards.
When you head inside the building and drop to the lower level, you’ll notice stairs and a pathway that heads underground. The door on the right is locked in this hallway, but there are switches on the wall that you can interact with to open it.
You’ll need to hit four switches in a specific order to unlock this additional loot room. Thankfully, this isn’t too complicated. You just want to start on the stairs that lead to the hallway. The first switch you need to hit is on the wall to your right. Hit this one, and the turn left to go down the hall. There are three more switches on the walls, and you’ll want to hit them in the order you reach them. Once you get to the fourth switch, the loot room should open up to some orange high-tier loot boxes.
Drone Easter egg
The drone Easter egg is a really quick way to get extra loot. Look up in the sky each match to search for a drone. This special drone looks much like the recon and bomb drones found in the game, but this specific drone is extremely high in the sky. Shoot it down, and it will drop a supply crate for you to open. It will be marked as a gift box icon on your map. This contains random items like armor plates, equipment, and usually a UAV or other streak.
Also, shooting it down is fairly easy even if you don’t have a rocket launcher. Just use something with range like an assault rifle or light machine gun.
Shuriken Easter egg
For this one, head to the Port Ruins location on the island. This area is found on the hill between Beach Club and Port Ashika. There is a set of four barrels sitting on top of the upper portion of the ruins, and you’ll find a shuriken (throwing star) stuck into one of the barrels. You’ll want to grab this one from the barrel.
A mini game starts once you grab it. A decoy soldier will inflate nearby, and you’ll need to destroy it with the throwing star. Destroy it, collect your shuriken, and then another decoy will inflate in the area afterwards. You’ll need to take out four decoys with the shuriken to complete this mini-game.
You need to be really quick here, as you only seem to get a few seconds to locate and hit each one. It doesn’t look like this can be repeated if you fail, and you’ll have to try again in your next match. However, the loot is a pretty decent haul to get you started in your match, assuming you land here first. You can get items like cash, a random fully-kitted weapon, and at least one self-revive.
Wind chime Easter egg
You’ll want to head to the Residential area of Ashika Island for this Easter egg. There are wind chimes all over the island, but there are five circular-shaped wind chimes that are exclusive to this area. The screenshots below will show the exact locations on the minimap.
These wind chimes need to be shot in a specific order to complete the Easter egg. The order you need to hit them in is randomized each match, but some of them are labeled with numbers to help you out.
One is found hanging on the metal frame around the garden area with a number listed on the flower pots below it.
For the next location, go just a bit west of the garden to a neighboring white house with a two-story balcony. The wind chime is hanging from the balcony, but you’ll want to go inside the building and up the stairs to view the number sitting in a white chair.
Another is found by going to the smaller white building that’s located at the center of the front row of houses in the Residential area. The wind chimes are hanging in the covered porch area. The number is located on the wall just behind the chimes.
You’ll find another set of wind chimes hanging from the top corner of a two-story building near the road. There is a window right next to it, and you can peek inside to see the order number on the floor.
Finally, the fifth location is found at the small building at the back east section of Residential. The chimes are hanging in the corner just inside the fence. This is the only location that doesn’t have a number on it, so you just need to use the process of elimination here on the numerical order.
Note: A correct shot will give you a blue visual indicator around the wind chime, but you won’t get any visual if you shoot one in the incorrect order.
