Comic-Con India Gets a Chennai Edition for the First Time; Scheduled for February 2024

Comic-Con India has just announced that Chennai will soon be hosting the event, for the first time ever. They’ve announced the dates of the Chennai edition along with a teaser on Comic-Con India’s social media channel. Read on for the complete details now out on the upcoming Chennai Comic-Con.

Comic-Con Chennai 2023 Details

Comic-Con India once again promises the “Best Weekend of the Year”, this time for the pop culture fanatics of Chennai as well. Chennai will be hosting Comic-Con for the first next year, on 17th and 18th of February 2024. It will be held at the Chennai Trade Centre. Comics, cosplay, merchandise, experiences and gaming are the five aspects that have been highlighted in the teaser shared on Comic-Con India’s Instagram channel.

In a press release, IGN India has been informed that the Chennai Comic-Con will feature multiple Indian as well as international comic creators, renowned artists and popular industry names. Jatin Varma, the founder of Comic Con India spoke about organising Chennai’s first Comic-Con in a statement. Varma described Chennai as a “vibrant hub of art and entertainment”, and mentioned that they aim to recognise the city’s contribution to the pop culture landscape of India with the event. Varma said,

“We are thrilled to bring Comic Con India’s First Edition to the city of Chennai, a vibrant hub of art and entertainment. Chennai has a passionate community of pop culture enthusiasts, and we are excited to provide them with an unforgettable experience filled with comics, creativity, and connection.
