Amazon Pay has introduced “cash load at doorstep” for users who have completed their Know Your Customer (KYC) process. This service allows customers to hand over any extra cash or loose change to the delivery agent while making a cash-on-delivery order.

The delivery agent will then load the same amount into the customer’s Amazon Pay balance. It’s important to note that customers can deposit a maximum of Rs 50,000 per month, which includes Rs 2,000 denomination notes.

• Begin by completing the video KYC process on the Amazon app, which typically takes approximately 5-10 minutes.
• Place an order on Amazon and choose the cash-on-delivery option.
• When the Amazon delivery agent arrives at your doorstep, hand over your Rs 2,000 notes to them.
• Then, you will notice that the deposited amount has been reflected in your Amazon Pay account balance.
• Then create a UPI handle on your Amazon Pay balance that will enable you to make effortless payments going forward (via).
• Users may then scan and pay with any QR code in stores, send money to any phone number/person, or pay on all of their favourite web apps.

The RBI recently made an official announcement regarding the withdrawal of Rs 2,000 notes from circulation. Although these notes will still hold their status as legal tender, the RBI has requested individuals to either submit or exchange any Rs 2,000 notes they possess at their nearest bank branch before September 30th, 2023.
