Coolpad Cool 20s with Dimensity 700 SoC launched: Specifications, price – Times of India

Coolpad has introduced a new smartphone – the Cool 20s – in China. The new smartphone is a member of the Cool 20 series introduced last year. The smartphone is the second 5G smartphone in the Cool 20 after the Cool 20 Pro launched in November last year. The Coolpad Cool 20s is positioned as a budget 5G offering, and its specifications include a 90Hz LCD panel, dual cameras and a 4500mAh battery with fast charging.

The new Coolpad Cool 20s comes at a starting price of CNY 999 (Rs 11,570) in China. The smartphone comes in three colour options — Blue, Black and White. It is available for pre-orders in China and is scheduled to go on sale from June 17.

The Cool 20s features a 6.58-inch FHD+ display with a refresh rate of 90Hz. The display has a waterdrop notch to accommodate the front-facing camera. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by Mediatek’s Dimensity 700 chipset.
The Dimensity 700 is an octa-core chipset consisting of two ARM Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.2GHz and six A55-cores running up to 2.0GHz. The chipset brings support for 5G connectivity.
The smartphone has 128GB of internal memory and three RAM options — 4GB/6GB/8GB. The Cool 20s boasts a 4,500mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. The smartphone boots CoolOS 2.0 on top of Android 11 out of the box. It comes with a dual stereo speaker, a 3.5mm audio jack and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Coolpad’s new smartphone has a dual-camera setup on the back comprising a 50MP primary sensor paired with an f/1.8 aperture lens and a 2MP macro camera. On the front, the smartphone has an 8MP camera inside the waterdrop notch.
Connectivity options on Cool 20s include a dual SIM slot, 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB-Cand a 3.5mm audio jack.
