Cristiano Ronaldo has been pictured in Manchester United kit for the first time since completing a £13million transfer move from Juventus. The Portuguese superstar was officially announced as a United player on transfer deadline day after coming to an agreement on personal terms.
It means that Ronaldo will return as a Red Devils player for the first time since he left for Real Madrid in the summer of 2009.
His first spell at Old Trafford was an incredibly successful one as he won eight major trophies, including three Premier League titles.
He also scored 118 goals in 292 appearances for United, establishing himself as one of the world’s best players.
Ronaldo subsequently left for a world record fee, going on to spend nine years at the Bernabeu, where he added four Champions Leagues to his CV.
His next destination was Juventus, though he endured a mixed spell in Turin, with the Old Lady finishing fourth in Serie A last season.

United released six images of Ronaldo in their home shirt for this season, with the superstar pictured in a variety of poses.
It is the first time Ronaldo has worn the United badge since he left for the Spanish capital 12 years ago.
The next chance for the Portuguese to wear the shirt again will be on 11 September, when United host Newcastle.
The first time he will be able to wear one of their new away strips will be the next week, when the Red Devils travel to West Ham.
Ronaldo himself cannot wait to wear the famous shirt again, with the attacker revealing the club holds a “special place” in his heart.
“Manchester United is a club that has always had a special place in my heart,” Ronaldo said in the club’s statement confirming the move.
“I have been overwhelmed by all the messages I have received since the announcement on Friday. I cannot wait to play at Old Trafford in front of a full stadium and see all the fans again.
“I’m looking forward to joining up with the team after the international games, and I hope we have a very successful season ahead.”
