CS:GO – Indian Female Team All Set to Debut at Riyadh Asian Qualifiers for the 15th World Esports Championships

Esports in India has been growing tremendously for some time now, providing international exposure to players all over the country. This exposure is now not just limited to male players but extends to female players. The most recent announcement reveals that an all-female CS:GO team from India is all set to make their debut at the international event this very month.

India’s CS:GO female team in Riyadh Asian Qualifiers for WEC

You read that right, India’s all-female CS:GO team is competing at this very moment in the Asian Qualifiers of the 15th World Esports Championship in Riyadh. This head-to-head competition kicked off on July 15 and will continue until July 17. Check out all the members of the CS:GO team that will be representing India in this prestigious competition below:

  • Swayambika Sachar (Sway) – Captain
  • Nidhi Salekar (Stormyy)
  • Shagufta Iqbal (Xyaa)
  • Dilraj Kaur Matharu (COCO)
  • Aastha Nangia (Crackshot)

In the Asian Qualifiers. the Indian team will take on Kyrgyzstan and Saudi Arabia on Day 1 and Hong Kong China and Australia on Day 2 through Best of 1 matches. Out of these 5 teams, only 2 will be able to qualify for the 15th World Esports Championship with the first place taking home $3,500 and second place grabbing $2,000. The Indian team had to take down Sri Lanka in the National Esports Championships 2023 to enter the Asian Qaulifiers.

On the topic of the Indian Contingent participating in the 15th WEC, the Indian DOTA 2 team is no longer in the running after losing out against Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, and the Philippines. The male CS:GO team’s competition has just commenced and Tekken 7 proffesional Abinav Tejan and eFootball athlete Ibrahim Gulrez have already qualified for the 15th WEC.
