Cumberlands and Lindsey Wilson Make the Cut at NAIA Women’s Golf Championship; Parrott Tied for Second

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. –  Campbellsville’s (Ky.) Gracie Parrott sits tied for second following the second round of the NAIA Women’s Golf Championship while Cumberlands (Ky.) and Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) made the cut.

Parrott currently has a 2-under par 142 after carding a 1-over par 73 in the second round. She started her round with four-straight pars before recording a bogey. Parrott then got back to even par in the round with a birdie on the 12th hole. She recorded pars of five of the six final holes and had one bogey.

Cumberlands is tied for 10th with a total of 610 after carding a 307 in round two. Carlee Shoemaker shot a 2-over par74 to lead the Patriots in the round. Lucia Pena carded a 77 in the second round. Pena is tied for 19th while Shoemaker sits tied for 24th. Hannah Griffith and Viviane Braun recorded a 78 while Sharon Holczer carded an 85.

Lindsey Wilson is currently tied for 12th with a 615 after shooting a 307 in the second round. Malene Clausen recorded the best round for Lindsey Wilson with a 2-over par 74 and sits tied for 24th. Katie Biddlecome shot a 75 while Zofia Wojcik carded a 78. Megan Mann shot an 80 while Hannah Sumner recorded an 82.

Cumberland (Tenn.) finished in 20th with a two-round score of 630 (316-314). Emma Hermansson carded the best round for the Phoenix with a 75. Nathalie Nutu shot a 78 while Raquel Romero Valverde carded an 80. Pilar Scenna and Ida Furuheim round out the scores for Cumberland with 81 and 84 respectively.

Keiser sits atop the leaderboard heading into the third round with a 582. Taylor (Ind.) sits in second with a 594 and Oklahoma City is third with a 597.

The third round of the NAIA Women’s Golf Championship begins Thursday morning at Rose Creek Golf Course.
