Currys offers free Samsung and LG TVs as Black Friday kicks off early

The countdown to the big Black Friday sale event is now underway with this yearly sale officially starting on November 25. Although there are still a few days to go until the main discounts go live, many stores have already started slashing prices early and one deal that’s hard to ignore comes from Currys.

The UK retailer has announced that some lucky customers who buy a new TV during the Black Friday sale event will get it for free.

Yes, you did read that correctly. This amazing incentive is available across a whole swathe of goggleboxes including popular screens from LG, Samsung and Sony. It’s not just budget TVs that can be bagged either with the £2,999 LD OLED and 85-inch Samsung QE85 with £3,000 available as part of the promotion.

Of course, Currys isn’t giving everyone in the UK a free television but the store has confirmed that one in 20 are in with a chance of winning.

If that sounds enticing, all you have to do is buy a participating television, then fill in your details at curryswinyourtv.co.uk during the promotional period and wait. If you are one of the lucky ones you’ll then get all of your money back.

There is a big chance a refund won’t be coming your way so please make sure you can afford to buy a new television before taking part in this offer.

If you were thinking of upgrading anyway here are some of the TVs that could be free.

As well as offering the chance of a free TV, Currys is also dishing out six months of access to Apple TV+ when shopping in its Black Friday sale.

This subscription service usually costs £6.99 per month so this is a great deal that’s open to everyone.

All you have to do is shop online and within 10 days you’ll receive an email with details on how to redeem this offer.

Apple TV+ includes access to films and box sets including the award-winning Ted Lasso and Coda.

What is Black Friday

Black Friday was started in the United States as a way for retailers to drum-up extra sales ahead of the holidays. The one-day sales event would see millions of people queue up outside high street shops to secure the best Black Friday deals, dubbed “doorbusters”. Held on the first Friday after the Thanksgiving celebrations, Black Friday is no longer confined to the shores of the United States – it has become a global phenomenon.
