Cyberpunk 2077: CD Projekt Red Releases a New Video Series That Explains the History of Night City

Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt’s (now) fantastic RPG game, has turned the story around with the launch of Phantom Liberty, coupled with the free Update 2.0. Much of the love that the game receives now is due to the ever-so-rich lore behind Cyberpunk and its elusive Night City.

However, it can take quite some time to figure out a lot of references that are made during the main story. It is also not everyone’s cup of tea these days to read the narrative and history of a video game world. In Cyberpunk 2077, a lot of the lore has been explained through shards that you find in the game, which can be read.

Cyberpunk 2077 — Night City Archives

Possibly to combat this and make it easier for newer players, CD Projekt Red has introduced a new series of videos called Night City Archives. Its first episode is now out and it is titled “Episode 1: A Brief History of Night City”, and the video does justice to the title.

Episode 1: A Brief History of Night City

This new video starts the history from the very beginning of how Night City was born, and up until the point where the corporations, led by Arasaka, took over the cyberpunk city. There are more videos to come out, and it will certainly help new players and also existing players to gain more information about Cyberpunk 2077’s lore and world. Given that Cyberpunk 2 is also planned, these videos will also assist players in the future to recall or learn more about the events that led to the first game.

Cyberpunk 2077 is playable on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One. Currently, there is a bundle offer running on Cyberpunk 2077 and Phantom Liberty in India on Steam. You can grab the game for INR 4,138, which is an 8% price drop as compared to buying the base game and expansion separately.
