Cyberpunk 2077 Developers Reveal Which Quests Need to be Played before Phantom Liberty Expansion Arrives

Phantom Liberty is scheduled to arrive on September 26, 2023, and ahead of the game’s launch, players have been wondering what parts of Cyberpunk 2077 they would need to complete to be ready for the expansion when it arrives. Fortunately, the developers have come forth by talking about the quests that need to be completed in Cyberpunk 2077.

Speaking to Kotaku, Cyberpunk Quest Director Pawel Sasko has revealed all the information that players need to be armed with to get prepped for Phantom Liberty. Firstly, he talks about Dogtown which is a brand-new region, with its own history, NPCs and other details, but is located in Pacifica, therefore having some understanding about this location will help experience the new location better.

Furthermore, in order to play the expansion itself, players will have to reach Pacifica in the main story and that only happens in the latter half of the game. Sasko has clearly stated that in order to start playing the Phantom Liberty expansion, players will have to reach Pacifica, get acquainted with Placide and Mamam Brigitte and then speak to Alt to move ahead. The quests that players will definitely have to complete to play the expansion are M’ap Tann Pèlen, I Walk the Line, and Transmission.

Lastly, Sasko has also shared that the developers have been working on the title in a manner that just feels very different “when it comes to its spy vibe”. He also stated that all sorts of players have been kept in mind when designing this expansion. This includes the players that barely played Cyberpunk 2077 and the players that have spent more than “2,000 hours” in this universe.
