Cyberpunk 2077 Mod Brings Lucy From Edgerunners to Game

Cyberpunk 2077 Mod Brings Lucy From Edgerunners to Game

Cyberpunk Edgerunners received a lot of praise upon its release, especially for its worldbuilding and showcasing interesting characters in a story set a year before the events of Cyberpunk 2077. The anime boosted the game’s popularity as it even surpassed The Witcher 3 with peak concurrent players. The game even became a top seller on Steam.

Naturally, modders are creating mods for the game that replace characters from the game with popular characters from the anime. One such character from Edgerunners is Lucy Kushinada, who is a young netrunner that introduces the main character David Martinez to the world underworld of Night City.

The Lucy’s Beginning Custom Start mod at Nexusmods by modder OnesieNinja is described as a “custom perspective start for Lucy.” The modder explains that it is their take on the game having Lucy instead of V. “Lucy escapes the underground facility and joins up with the Nomads after awaking in a junkyard. Then, after her Nomad family is killed (“fallen to pieces”), starts a new life in Night City. What-if this all did happen before she met Maine and his crew?” the description reads.

The mod also requires some other mods installed mandatorily and a few for immersion. It requires the player to select Nomad and Female and the character comes with a full netrunning outfit, her pistol, and standard V’s nomad equipment.

If you like the anime and would like to revisit Cyberpunk 2077, this mod can be a fun way to do so.
