Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, the anime based on the Cyberpunk 2077 video game, is set to release on Netflix on September 13. The series debuted a new trailer which frankly, is insane. The “official NSFW” trailer, as the name suggest, is not exactly family-friendly. It contains a lot of blood, guts, and sex. Needless to say, we are pumped after watching the trailer and it does a great job of hyping up the anime series.

The 10-episode anime is animated by Studio Trigger and CD Projekt, and is a spinoff of Cyberpunk 2077. Hiroyuki Imaishi (Gurren Lagann) will serve as the director along with Masahiko Otsuka (Promare), who will serve as the assistant director. Hiromi Wakabayashi (Kill la Kill) is the creative director of the show with character designs provided by Yoh Yoshinari (BNA: Brand New Animal) and Yuto Kaneko (Little Witch Academia).
As for the soundtrack, Akira Yamaoka, who is best known for composing several video games in the Silent Hills series, will provide the music.
Yoshiki Usa (SSSS.GRIDMAN) and Masahiko Otsuka (Promare) are in charge of the screenplay.
