Dead Island 2 First 30 Minutes Leaks Online Right Before the Launch Trailer Releases

We are finally less than a week away from the launch of Dead Island 2, after multiple delays and a long wait of eight years. Naturally, anticipated fans cannot hold their horses any longer, but yesterday, the first 30 minutes of this upcoming game leaked online. While the video has now been taken down by publishers Deep Silver, a new launch trailer has also just been released.

Earlier last week, reports surfaced of a fan who claimed to have gotten their hands on a physical copy of the game ten days before the official launch. The Redditor wrote that a guy on eBay had a “bunch of copies” for sale, which is where they got theirs from. The player did not actively post any spoilers, but it was only a matter of time before footage of the game leaked online, given that there were more “physical copies” doing the rounds.

Yesterday, the first 30 minutes of the game was leaked online and was available on YouTube. However, Deep Silver has since then taken the video down, as the leaked gameplay is not visible anymore on the site. Soon after, a launch trailer was officially released yesterday, which you can check out below.

IGN has spent some time with this upcoming zombie slasher, and had previously officially released the first 11 minutes of the game. You can also check out the preview of the game below.

Dead Island 2 launches globally this Friday, on April 21st. The game will be playable on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC via the Epic Games Store.
