Deadpool 3 20th Century Fox Logo Pic Sparks Marvel Universe Plot Theories
Ryan Reynolds is taking aim at 20th Century Fox in the latest Deadpool 3 set photos. Currently filming on a UK beach, the upcoming Deadpool sequel has already revealed our first glimpse of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine in his classic yellow suit. Now, it looks as though the Merc with a Mouth is getting even more meta than before after a giant 20th Century Fox logo was spotted on location.

Clearly, Deadpool and Wolverine aren’t exactly best buds at this stage, but that’s not surprising. After all, he has a way of rubbing his fellow mutants up the wrong way. However, it’s the 20th Century Fox logo that’s perhaps the most interesting. It’s clearly a nod to Disney’s acquisition of Fox back in 2019, the seemingly destroyed logo drawing a line under the earlier X-Men movies.
Considering Deadpool’s very meta humor though, there may be more to it. In front of the 20th Century Fox logo, there’s what looks like the remains of a missile embedded in the sand. It could well be a random missile, or it could be connected to the 2011 film X-Men: First Class, which featured a barrage of missiles aimed at our favorite X-Men as they took a stand on a Cuban beach.
In fact, some Deadpool fans are already theorizing that Deadpool 3 could be a big screen take on Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe with the titular merc traveling through time to kill all of Fox’s earlier characters.
“Deadpool just has to be killing Fox’s Marvel universe,” said Brandon Davis. “It’s gotta be that.” “Deadpool kills the Fox Marvel Universe is in full effect,” said another Twitter user. “Deadpool and Logan go on a spree of killing off the loose ends of their universe and run into trouble with the TVA.” Either way, it looks as though Deadpool 3 will be breaking the fourth wall in the biggest way yet.
IGN’s Deadpool 2 review gave it 7.8/10 and said: “Deadpool 2 eventually draws its disparate elements together, gains momentum, and pushes towards something more closely resembling a traditional finale. In keeping with the rest of the movie, it’s still fairly small-scale and character-focused, and surprisingly, it’s emotionally effective too. Despite the character’s trademark flippancy, there’s a real unexpected warmth to Deadpool 2. Not only does the sequel explore this flawed character, it firmly establishes him as a loveable and effective hero.”
