Deadpool 3 is all set to be the biggest instalment for the franchise with the Merc with a Mouth teaming up with fan favourite character, Wolverine, with Hugh Jackman announced to star in the upcoming movie. However, there is one doubt that has been looming over the fans, and that is whether the third instalment of the franchise will maintain the R-Rated trend after Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox. Deadpool 3 actor, Karan Soni has recently revealed more details for this topic.
Deadpool 3 not affected by Disney, claims actor
Karan Soni, who is known for his role as taxi driver Dupinder in the Deadpool movies recently spoke about Disney’s impact on the movie to ComicBook.com. Karan Soni was asked how different does it feel to work on the movie after the Disney acquisition and whether it will maintain the same reputation as the previous movies had. Soni replied stating he has begun working on that one and can say that it is the “same as the other two.”
Soni added stating “it’s like hard R” and “there’s a lot of that stuff so it does not feel different.” The only differences that Soni saw for this movie were the new security regulations as he didn’t receive a script this time, whereas he received one in the previous two. Furthermore, Soni feels that “they’re so strict” as he has only seen “glimpses” of what he will be doing in the upcoming movie.
Soni went on to explain that Ryan Reynolds is such a star and “a creative genius”, hence he does not need to work in movies where it is not “his version of it”. Furthermore, Soni revealed that Reynolds and new director, Shawn Levy work “so well together”, which is not a surprise as the duo has been involved in previous projects such as Free Guy and The Adam Project. Soni concluded by stating “I will not underestimate Ryan Reynolds.” This news will surely come as relief to all the fans of the franchise.
