Rice has been linked with a move away from the London Stadium for some time after a series of impressive performances for West Ham. He has also established himself as a key man within the England set-up and has started all three of the nation’s games at the World Cup in Qatar so far.
The midfielder is believed to have indicated he would like to leave the Hammers and turned down a new eight-year deal in May. His current contract expires in 2024 and while the club have the option to extend it for another 12 months they may need to sell him soon in order to maximise his potential value.
Now, the Guardian has reported that Rice could have four clubs to pick from as he plots his exit. United, City, Chelsea and Newcastle are all believed to be interested in his services as they look to strengthen their midfields. However, he comes with a huge price tag, as the Irons expect £100m for their star man as they look to be compensated for his loss.

“I’ve been playing consistently well for my club and I feel like I really want to keep pushing. I see my friends here who are playing Champions League and for big trophies. You only get one career and at the end you want to look back at what you’ve won and the biggest games you’ve played in.”
It remains to be seen whether or not any of the interested parties will match West Ham’s valuation in the coming months. However, it looks increasingly certain that Rice’s future will be away from the East end of London after eight years of representing the club.
