The Demon Slayer Season 3 Episode 9 will release on Sunday, June 4 in Japan and will simulcast in India on Crunchyroll on Saturday night. The ninth episode should be available to stream sometime around on Saturday, 10:45pm onwards on Crunchyroll. The anime will also be available on Netflix, following a weekly release schedule. What to expect from Demon Slayer Season 3 Episode 9
In the eighth episode, we saw Muichiro managing to escape from the water prison, despite being weakened by the needles. Memories from his past start to resurface as he fights off demons that look like fish. He recalls his upbringing as a woodcutter’s son and the tragic loss of his parents. His twin brother, Yuichiro, becomes distant and negative.
However, when Amane shares their family’s lineage as swordsmen, Muichiro suggests they become swordsmen too, despite Yuichiro’s scepticism. Later, their home is attacked by a demon, resulting in Yuichiro losing his arm and Muichiro tapping into a powerful rage to defeat the demon. As Yuichiro passes away, Muichiro witnesses his brother’s final prayer for his safety.
We see Muichiro set out to rescue Haganezuka and Kanamori, as he easily overpowers Gyokko’s new Blood Demon Art. We can expect to see him clash with Gyokko, as we will get to witness more of their abilities in the ninth epsiode.
