Destiny 2 7.0.5.2 Patch Notes: Fixes Crucible Glitch, Quest Bugs, Matchmaking
Destiny 2’s latest patch is here, and it includes a number of fixes for bugs both large and small. Perhaps the most significant is a resolved issue that caused players to get suspended from Crucible play as if they quit a match early, though in actuality they did no such thing, which is a real recipe for frustration.
Speaking of Crucible, the patch also changes matchmaking of certain modes to a connection-based model. Those models include Clash, Zone Control, and Rift. This will hopefully improve latency and performance around those modes.
Other fixes include a rare issue that caused players not to be able to complete the Last Will and Testament quest, an issue that caused Orbs of Power to spawn at the wrong place when using the Firepower armor mod, and an exploit that allowed players to dismantle the Guardian Games class item for Legendary Shards and Glimmer. Also, if you’re experiencing audio distortion, this patch should hopefully improve that, but the full fix is coming at a later date.
Destiny 2 is currently in the midst of its annual Guardian Games event, which pits the game’s three classes against each other to see who is best. To participate, you’ll need to complete activities in order to earn Contender Cards and Platinum Cards. It also includes two new weapons, The Title and Taraxippos.
