Diablo 4’s First World Boss Early Beta Access Schedule Has Been Released
Ahead of Diablo IV’s early beta access session, Blizzard released the first world boss Ashava’s spawn times. Ashava will pop up three times on Saturday and then one time on Sunday. As a reminder, Diablo IV’s early beta access session starts at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET on March 17 and ends at 12 PM PT / 3 PM ET on March 19.
Ashava’s Schedule
Saturday, March 18
- 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET
- 12 PM PT / 3 PM ET
- 10 PM PT / 1 AM ET
Sunday, March 19
During the BlizzCon panel held back in 2019, when Diablo IV was announced, Senior Encounter Designer Candace Thomas spoke a little bit about Ashava. Ashava is an ever-lurking threat and is as Candace says, “like a constant reminder that Lilith is watching and that nowhere is safe from the from the gates of Hell.”
“But to us as developers, I think that she’s kind of like a monument to what Diablo IV is as a game,” Candace said. “She’s this enormous monster, but she takes more than just you to defeat. People have to come together across all the regions to take her down, because she’s just this giant killing machine.”
Diablo 4’s World Bosses are massive monsters that require multiple players to take down. As described in a PlayStation blog, Blizzard designed World Bosses to cover a large range of the field with their attacks and to challenge different types of players actions–like those who stay at range or like to move fast.
After the early beta access session this weekend, Diablo IV will have an open beta session March 24-26. It’s unknown if Ashava will spawn at the same intervals as the early beta weekend, but Blizzard will likely confirm on Twitter closer to the date.
Diablo IV’s beta encompasses the prologue and Act I, with a character level cap of 25. Early beta access progress will roll over to the open beta weekend, if you’re experiencing both sessions, but will not transfer to the full game. You will get a Beta Wolf Pack cosmetic if you reach character level 20.
