Does Marvin Harrison have a son? Meet Ohio State WR Marvin Harrison Jr., son of Colts’ star receiver
There were few wide receivers in the NFL as dangerous as Marvin Harrison.
When the lifelong Colt had played his final season in 2008, he had the second-most receptions at 1,102, fifth-most receiving yards at 14,580 and fifth-most receiving touchdowns at 128 — he has since moved to fifth in receptions, ninth in yards and remains fifth in touchdowns.
Now there’s a new Marvin Harrison coming up, this one with the “Jr.” suffix added to his name. And following the opt-outs of Ohio State wide receivers Garrett Wilson and Chris Olave in Saturday’s Rose Bowl matchup against Utah, Harrison Jr. looks to be in a position to make a statement before stepping into a larger role for the Buckeyes in 2022.

Does Marvin Harrison have a son?
This is, in fact, the son of Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver Marvin Harrison.
Harrison Jr. is the son of Marvin Harrison Sr. and Dawne Harrison. Harrison Sr. is a native of Philadelphia and product of Roman Catholic High School. His son went to St. Joseph’s Preparatory School, a private Catholic prep school in Philadelphia.
There, Harrison Jr. won three straight state championships in Pennsylvania’s highest class.
High school star
Harrison Jr. was a key player on one of Pennsylvania’s most dominant football programs. He, along with Ohio State backup quarterback Kyle McCord, won three state titles for the Hawks.
While in high school, Harrison Jr. set Philadelphia Catholic League records with 2,625 receiving yards and 37 touchdowns on 144 catches.
His combination of route running ability and size helped him earn a four-star ranking in the 247Sports Composite Rankings and place him as the No. 97 national and No. 14 wide receiver in the 2021 class.
Harrison’s freshman season
Ohio State was loaded in 2021 at wide receiver, but that didn’t mean that Harrison didn’t see the field.
During his true freshman campaign, he appeared in four games, catching five passes for 68 yards. According to Pro Football Focus , he was on the field for 90 snaps, the eighth-most on the team.
He might get an even bigger chance to produce in the Rose Bowl on Saturday. Harrison had the third-most snaps lined out wide of any player (83) behind only Olave (347) and Wilson (306), who have both opted out of the game. Especially given that both receivers are headed to the NFL, Harrison could be in line to see some heavy usage against Utah as he prepares to step up into a larger role for the team in 2022.
