Doki Doki Literature Club’s Monika gets her own Pop-Up Parade figure

Wonderful news for lovers everywhere: Good Smile Co has opened pre-orders on a brand new addition to its Pop-Up Parade pop culture figure range, sculpted after the achingly adorable Monika, the heart-rending star of visual novel Doki Doki Literature Club.

Standing a little over seven inches in height, Monika is dressed in her iconic school uniform and two-tone shoes, posed in a welcoming, coy manner and carrying the pen with which she will write you many a sweet nothing. A welcome addition to any desktop, Monika’s loving gaze will inspire you while you work, watch T.V., make calls, read, cook, eat, dress, and sleep… Especially when you sleep.

Good Smile Co.’s Pop-Up Parade brand is a range of static, affordable figures, provided without articulation or accessories, but offering a cheaper alternative to the more prestige Figma range. I happen to own a couple of Pop-Up Parade figures myself — such as rice queen Sakuna — and they are nicely sculpted, subtly colored, and make for a fine addition to your work desk and/or windowsill without breaking the bank.

Doki Doki Literature Club‘s Monika is available to pre-order now from the Good Smile Co. website and other merch retailers, priced at ¥4,800, (roughly $35 USD), not including any shipping charges. Monika is expected to show up at your door in August 2023. I hope that you’ll be very happy together.
