Kohli smashed 186 to help India post a mammoth 571 and take a crucial 91-run first-innings lead against Australia on Day 4 of the fourth and final in Ahmedabad.
Resuming on 59 after reaching his first Test half-century on Saturday since January 2022, the landmark came for Kohli after a patient innings of 241 balls.
India need a win to seal a berth in the World Test Championship final in June. World number one Australia have already booked their place.
