The gaming-focused convention series DreamHack comes to Dallas soon, and it’s shaping up to be another big event. Fans can expect tournaments, cosplay, meet-and-greets, and much more when the show comes to Dallas June 2-4 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center. Here is everything you need to know about the big show coming up soon.

DreamHack is a gaming-focused convention series that makes stops across the US and around the world, this latest event taking place in Dallas. The company is owned by the esports giant ESL, and DreamHack has been around for close to 30 years.

DreamHack Dallas 2023 takes place at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, Texas.

Tickets
Tickets for DreamHack Dallas start at $35 for a one-day pass and scale to $99 for a three-day pass. There are a variety of optional add-ons, too, to access things like Saturday evening’s party or special seating at the CSGO tournament. You can use the code DREAMBIG to donate 50% of your ticket cost to the American Heart Association.

What’s happening?
DreamHack Dallas hosts a variety of FGC tournaments with thousands of dollars up for grabs in prize pools. Anyone can compete in games like Brawlhalla, Street Fighter, Smash Bros. Tekken, and more. Or if you’re less skilled and competitive, you can sit back and watch the action. There is more than $930,000 up for grabs in prize money across seven major esports tournaments that will be hosted at DreamHack Dallas.
DreamHack Dallas also has an “Artist Alley” that includes comic, pop, cosplay, and original work. People can stop by to see all manner of creations and buy whatever they want. You can see a list of Artist Alley vendors here.
People can visit a Freeplay area to jump into matches of Counter-Strike 2 and Omega Strikers, or visit the Diablo booth to play Diablo IV before it officially releases. Voice actors from the game will be there, too. Fans of retro games can check out another area of the venue called The Arcade that is stocked with 30+ free games to play, including Donkey Kong, Pac-Man, Mario Bros., Centipede, and Galaga.
Another event taking place at DreamHack Dallas is Dungeons & Demons, which is a live D&D campaign run by Jasmine ‘ThatBronzeGirl’ Bhullar and featuring Ms. Marvel actress Anjali Bhimani, Overwatch’s Jen Cohn, Star Wars: Bad Batch actress Vanessa Marshall, and WoW cosplayer Kira Arlayna AKA Dark Lady taking part in the adventure. This event will also be streamed live.
Outside of these events, DreamHack Dallas features an AFK Zone where people can get face paint, ride a mechanical bull, and just relax. DreamHack Dallas also has a cosplay section and meet-and-greet sessions with more than 200 creators. For people who are serious about cosplay, they can enter a competition with $3,000 up for grabs.
DreamHack Dallas also hots the culmination of the US Magic: The Gathering Regional Championship Round 3, which features players competing for a share of $130,000 in prize money.
