After a long wait of 7 years, the sequel to Ajay Devgn starrer Drishyam hit the theatres on November 18. The first part was released in 2015 and received a thunderous response from cinemagoers and critics alike and looks like the success will be repeated as Drishyam 2 has also received a good response from the public. The movie is the remake of a Malayalam language movie by the same name that became a path breaker in the storytelling of Indian thriller movies. The 2nd part of the Malayalam film came out in February 2021, post which the Hindi sequel was worked on.
Now, for those of you who have not been able to watch Drishyam 2 in theatres, you can watch it from the comfort of your home as it will start streaming on OTT soon. The movie is confirmed to be streaming on OTT in December 2022. You will need a subscription to Amazon Prime Video to watch the movie when it releases.

Drishyam 2: Plot
The movie is the sequel to Drishyam released in 2015. Drishyam 2 starts from 7 years later when Vijay Salgaonkar and his family have started living a normal life after the fiasco. The new IG Tarun Ahlawat is a friend of the former IG Meera Deshmukh who brings a twist to the story. The movie then shows the revived investigation of the Salgaonkar family in connection to the murder of former IG Meera Deshmukh’s son and revolves around 1 simple question. Can Vijay Salgaonkar protect his family this time?

During a time, when Bollywood has been struggling to catch the attention of the audiences, Drishyam 2 seems to have caught the eyes of the public. The movie minted a 15.38 crore first-day box office collection and saw massive footfalls at theatres. The weekend saw the movie witnessing advanced bookings and full-house boards for most shows throughout the day.
