drive concierge: Nvidia introduces Drive Concierge, a Siri-like AI assistant just for cars – Times of India

Nvidia’s CEO and founder Jensen Huang introduced the Nvidia Drive Concierge and Drive Chauffeur AI platforms in his GTC keynote. These platforms are developed by Nvidia to reduce the hassles and stress of regular driving using smart technologies.
Both the platforms have an AI-driven assistant that blends conversational voice assistance with driver monitoring and autonomous parking tech. Drivers and passengers will be able to access the always-on intelligent services that will use the Nvidia Drive IX and Nvidia Omniverse Avatar tech for real-time conversational AI.
The Omniverse Avatar makes the Drive Concierge serve as a digital assistant, which helps them to make recommendations, phone calls, book reservations and even provide alerts. It is also expected to come with 3D graphics for drivers and passengers to find out what’s in the mind of the vehicle’s AI.
It may also work like an on-demand valet, that might be designed to park the car on its own and will be convenient for the driver as well. It also acts as a protector and uses the interior cameras to alert the driver on the road whenever it’s needed.
Drive Chauffeur is also an AI-assisted driving platform based on the Nvidia Drive AV SDK that can manage both urban and highway traffic to provide extra safety. It has a motive to totally relieve a human from driving by becoming self independent, ensuring safety, along with saving time and energy.
This platform is expected to use the Drive Hyperion 8 sensor unit that will be available for 2024 car models. Volvo and Mercedes are two major car makers that have announced partnerships for using the NVIDIA Drive tech in its future cars.
