Echo Season 1 Will Drop All at Once in November

Hawkeye spinoff Echo has received a release date, and it’ll be the first MCU series to drop a full season at once.

Echo will drop all of its Season 1 episodes on Disney+ on Nov. 29, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige announced at its Upfronts presentation today. Loki Season 2 has also gotten an official Season 2 premiere date of Oct. 6.

In releasing all of its episodes, Disney will be following the strategy favored by Netflix, which has been criticized at times for deflating excitement too soon. Despite that, Netflix has held fast to the so-called “binge strategy,” and now Disney is following in its footsteps.

Echo was originally announced back in 2021. It will focus on the eponymous Echo, a Native American character played by Alaqua Cox, who first appeared in Hawkeye. The story will pick up in her hometown as she reconnects with her Native roots and tries to embrace the meaning of family.

One thing to keep an eye on: Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio are reportedly returning for Echo as Daredevil becomes a bigger part of the MCU.

The decision to release Echo as a complete set comes amid a shift in strategy for MCU shows. Feige has previous admitted that there’s a glut of Marvel shows on the service, and this may be the beginning of a concerted effort to pare down the release schedule.
