With Dean Henderson expected to be sold, Ten Hag has made signing a new goalkeeper a priority. Porto goalkeeper Diogo Costa has been cited as a long-term successor for David De Gea on numerous occasions and the Portugal international could be purchased this summer before his value rises further.

With Marcel Sabitzer not set to make a permanent move to United and both Fred and Scott McTominay attracting interest, at least two signings are needed in midfield. Mason Mount is reportedly leaning towards a move to the Red Devils following failed contract negotiations with Chelsea.
Declan Rice is also a top target for United and has been long admired, though Arsenal are in pole position to secure his signature. Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo could be an alternative option to the England international, though he will not be cheap.

Ten Hag is hoping to sign two strikers this summer: one marquee No 9 and a younger option to develop. Atalanta star Rasmus Hojlund, 20, is also on the shortlist and could be signed in the hope of being a long-term star at the club and a move for the talented prospect could be funded by the sale of Anthony Martial.
