Elden Ring Prophet Class Guide: Everything You Need to Know

Elden Ring is providing the players with a breath-taking open-world RPG experience without sacrificing any of the mechanics from the Souls series. It is a top-tier game that will see the players put in massive number of hours taking down a plethora of enemies in the vast, graphically beautiful world that has been created by FromSoftware.

In Elden Ring, the players will begin the game by selecting a specific class, that will in turn provide the player with a unique playstyle that they would have to latch on to till the end of the game. In total there are 10 classes that players can choose from, each having their own unique abilities, strength and weaknesses. One of the classes that players have been especially curious about is the Prophet Class in Elden Ring. Check some of the stats, abilities, building mechanics and more of the Prophet Class in Elden Ring below:

  • Level 7
  • Vigor 10
  • Mind 14
  • Endurance 8
  • Strength 12
  • Dexterity 8
  • Intelligence 7
  • Faith 16
  • Arcane 11

Mind, Faith and Strength are the dominant characteristics of this class, Prophet isn’t an advisable starter class as it will rely heavily on magic and incantations. This type of playstyle has a steep learning curve, but once understood the players will become extremely powerful in the game. This class will provide the player with the perfect Dragon Priest build in Elden Ring.

Spells

In total there are two main spells that this build needs when starting the game as a Prophet: Catch Flame and Dragonfire. Catch Flame is a spell that the players will receive when starting their journey with this class. To obtain the Dragonfire spell, players will have to first take down Agheel, The Flying Dragon, who can be found near the Lake. After defeating this beast, the players will receive a Dragon Heart that they will have to trade at the Church of Dragon Communion for the Dragonfire spell. These two spells will provide the player with all the firepower they need to get through the starting range of enemies that they will encounter in the game. Another incantation that players can check out is the Lighting Strike, this will be helpful for enemies that are resistant to fire type attacks.

In order to make these spells much stronger the players will have to gather certain items that will provide a buff effect to their spells. One of the first things the players need to upgrade is the Finger Seal and that can be done through Smithing Stone which can be obtained from the Caves. One more item that can be obtained in the cave by defeating the boss is the Medallion Roar that will provide a buff effect to all breath attacks. The Dragonfire spell can be buffed even more by using the Dragon Communion Seal that buffs all the spells obtained from the Church of Dragon Communion.

Keepsake

The seal can be acquired from the Fringefolk Hero’s Grave, the players will need a Stonesword key to access this area, the key can be obtained at the beginning of the game by choosing it to be the player’s Keepsake. Another Keepsake that is advisable for all classes is the Golden Seed. The Golden Seed will provide the player with one extra flask, that can be used towards health or mana, this will provide the player with a sufficient boost at the start of their journey.

Building Prophet Class in Elden Ring

One of the first stats that players absolutely need to upgrade is the Mind stat. This will provide the players with the a longer FP bar that in turn will allow them to cast more incantations and spells. This upgrade is crucial as the Prophet Class is heavily dependent on spells. The next stat the players should concentrate on is Arcane as this will give an added bonus to spell casting and will also help players in discovering new items while exploring the vast world of Elden Ring. The third stat that players should pay attention to is the Faith. This will increase the damage effect of the incantations and will also be essential for taking down the larger, more gruesome enemies.

Equipment

As for the equipment for the Prophet Class, it isn’t a melee type build, therefore, the players do not need any heavy equipment at the beginning of the game. The two types of equipment that will actually be handy for this class is the Steel-wire Torch or a Shield. The Steel-wire Torch will provide the players with the fire-breath ability, this goes hand in hand with the other spells in the Prophet’s arsenal. Shield is an advisable equipment as the Prophet Class has no protection and the players will need the shield for the extra layer of protection. Another piece of equipment that players will need is an Armor. The Prophet class doesn’t begin with decent armour, therefore trying on something that provides more protection will be advisable for the players in Elden Ring.
